Today there are over 20 sites on the backbone system connecting San Luis Obispo to Salinas, San Francisco to Sacramento, and Santa Rosa to San Jose ( see map below). The radios utilized are multi-channel 3xDS3 radios in a protected configuration through the core ring of the network. As customer demand for bandwidth continues to grow the company has the ability to rapidly change the capacity of the network to deliver the needed bandwidth. Existing fiber is being utilized to create cost efficiencies and wide area availability on the backbone to expand the network footprint.
The company continuously evaluates new opportunities to expand its network to meet its customers evolving needs.
